EMILY MAULDIN
My design practice is grounded in the belief that good design should be accessible, intentional, and deeply human. I approach interiors with an abundance mindset—prioritizing longevity over trends, education over gatekeeping, and clarity over excess. Rooted in feminist practice, my work values collaboration, lived experience, and thoughtful decision-making, creating spaces that empower people to understand their homes, trust their instincts, and live more fully within them.
I split my time between Austin, Texas and Seattle, Washington, and both places deeply inform how I think about home, how it feels, how it functions, and how it supports everyday life. I am currently pursuing my MFA in Interior Design and Architecture at the Academy of Art University, after earning a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Tulane University and a master’s degree in Leadership for Creative Enterprises from Northwestern University. This path reflects how I work, grounded in both intuition and structure, creativity and pragmatism, with a focus on helping people feel more at ease, more confident, and more connected to the spaces they live in.
